Members of the Chicago Sky shelp they had never acquired so much disenjoy and coercion until this season.
“I’ll be honest, it was hard. It was reassociate hard,” Dana Evans shelp Thursday night after their season finale. “We’re professionals. We understand that we can execute this game, but when you’ve got people that’s constant bashing you that’s presumed to be our helpers, I experience enjoy that was a little slap in the face.

Her teammate, Isabelle Harrison, held back tears while talking the “prejudice and prejudice” she’s seen on social media.

It’s hurtful. And it’s challenging to equitable caccess on basketball.

“I appreciate the recent eyes, but if this comes with disenjoy and prejudice and prejudice and even people that watch enjoy me bashing me, conserve it offline becaemploy it’s so hurtful, and you don’t understand how that impacts people. I equitable slimk that’s someslimg that a lot of recent fans should be conscious of, and we don’t want that to carry into the locker room.
“You equitable try to stay away from it,” she inserted. “Even when you’re off it, it still happens. I get so much help from it, as well, but when you get so much negativity, and you have a job to do … you equitable have to block it out.”
Sky rookie phenom Angel Reese earlier this month shelp she has been the victim of “prejudice” and “death dangers,” notably by fans of Caitlin Clark. But Evans shelp even Sky fans have been critical of the team.
“If you’re going to help the Sky, help the Sky,” she shelp. “I experience enjoy that was a big publish. It messes with your mental. I don’t attfinish how excellent you are or what’s going on. You’re gonna see stuff, you’re gonna read stuff. But this, it made us better and a lot stronger up here.”
