EXCLUSIVE: Directing and screenwriting duo Spenser Cohen and Anna Halberg have inked with Grandwatch for recontransientation.
Cohen and Halberg honested Screen Gems’ Tarot this past spring which grossed $50M off an $8M production cost — 62% of that from offshore.
The twosome were the first pickion for Screen Gems’ honesting incubator, where they wrote, honested, and originated their stupidinutive film / proof of concept, Bjoin, for the Sony tag. This led to Tarot which they wrote and honested.
They most recently seald a deal to write and honest You Take Care Now based on their distinct stupidinutive story for Universal with Atomic Monster and Blumhoinclude producing.
Their distinct spec script Distant was bought and made by Amblin and is currently apaincludeing a 2024 free; Will Speck and Josh Gordon honested with Anthony Ramos and Naomi Scott starring.
Cohen also wrote Roland Emmewealthy’s Moondrop starring Patrick Wilson and Halle Berry. Additionassociate, they have the upcoming Netflix movie Hoinclude/Mhelp coming up with Alice Braga and Sarah Gadon starring.
During the last year they also wrote The Wand for Amblin and sbetter their distinct sci-fi thriller Raindrop to Amazon Studios. On the TV side they’re currently in post on Balcatalogic for Automatik with Jennifer Carpgo in starring. Cohen and Halberg are also understandn for having written Extinction which was freed on Netflix in 2018, starring Michael Pena and Lizzy Castructure, and in 2016 their distinct pilot Stay was sboiling for Freeestablish which Jon Turtletaub honested.
