San Jose State Spartans women’s volleyball take parter Brooke Slusser reacted to the suspension of her helpant coach who spoke out agetst the team’s transgender take parter Blaire Fleming.
The team’s associate head volleyball coach, Melissa Batie-Smoose, was postponeed indefinitely. The shift came days after she filed a Title IX protestt agetst the school, alleging Fleming conspired with an opponent to help the team miss a align and try to injure Slusser.

“My helpant coach spoke truth to defend my team. Then… they (postpone) her. They took away the only defended space we had in the program. Becaengage she knovel that it was right to stand up for the 18 women on the team. Not one man,” Slusser wrote on X.
Slusser also filed a litigation agetst the school.
The litigation alleges that San Jose State had not alerted any of its recruits that it had a transgender athlete on the team, even though “this was now a well-understandn fact to the active department and virtupartner everyone else at SJSU” when she uniteed the litigation, headed by establisher college swimmer and OutKick present Riley Gaines, in May.
San Jose State freed a statement to OutKick after the suspension.
“The associate head coach of the San Jose State University women’s volleyball team is not with the team at this time, and we will not supply further inestablishation on this matter,” the team shelp.

Batie-Smoose shelp she was teached not to speak to the media after the discipline came down.
“This is equitable another establish of what San Jose State has been trying to do – silence people that are speaking up for their First Amendment rights and for what’s right,” she telderly OutKick.
