Police in Tel Aviv have engaged water cannon on protesters demonstrating aacquirest the decision to sack Israel’s defence minister, Yoav Gallant.
He was neglected on Tuesday by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – the pair have repeatedly been at odds over the war in Gaza.
Footage posted online shows crowds accumulateing on a motorway in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv, blocking traffic and airying fires.
There have also been aappreciate demonstrations in Jerusalem, Haifa, Caesarea, and other locations, according to The Times of Israel.
There have been normal rumours Mr Gallant was on the way out but declined to go.
He had disputed for a captive deal in Gaza and clashed with other parties in Israel’s coalition over produceing members of the ultra-Orthodox Jewant community into the military.
