EXCLUSIVE: Laine Kline, Head of International Production at Amazon MGM Studios, is stepping down from his position at the finish of this year, we can uncover.
For the past 3½ years, the Los Angeles-based Kline has had regulatement and oversight of the production of all international movies and international scripted and unscripted series. Prior to his run at Amazon MGM, Kline was Head of Sony Pictures International Productions for five years, where he oversaw the entire division, and was at Fox and TWC before that.
When the exec combinecessitate Amazon in 2021, he was alerting to Head of Worldexpansive Production and Post Tim Clawson, but the latter left the studio earlier this year after a five-year stint.
As recently uncovered, veteran international TV executive and producer Rola Bauer also is leaving the studio after serving as Head of Pan-English scripted one-of-a-kinds for the past two years. Kline’s departure produces it three high-ranking production execs to have left or be leaving Amazon this year.
