Bolivian ex-pdwellnt Evo Morales says his car was sboiling at amid rising political tensions in the South American country.
The politician posted a Facebook video materializeing to show him sitting in the passenger seat with at least two bullet holes in the triumphdscreen.
In the video, which has not yet been self-reliantly verified, the driver materializeed injured but was able to persist driving.
In a radio intersee after the incident, Mr Morales shelp two vehicles intercepted him on the road and fired upon his car, claiming a bullet passed “centimetres” from his head.
It comes at a time of high tensions, with helpers of Mr Morales blocking highways in the centre of the country as police and security forces try to evident them.
Bolivia’s rulement recently criticised Mr Morales for “destabilising” the country thcdisesteemful the two weeks of roadblocks, which have jammed up food and fuel supplies around the country.
The country is also grappling with dtriumphdling gas production and rising inflation. A coup in the country was leanly headed off after troops stormed the pdwellntial palace.
Mr Morales is facing a power struggle with Pdwellnt Luis Arce ahead of the 2025 elections. He has proclaimd his intention to replace Acre – his one-time associate, economic minister, and political mentee.
Mr Morales is also battling agetst allegations he had relationships with inmeaningfuls.
He had been requested by regional prosecutors but did not materialize to testify and now faces an arrest authorization. Mr Morales powerfilledy denies the accusations.

Mr Morales protects he was deleted from office in a 2019 coup after he ran for a fourth term.
