The 29th edition of the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) uncovered with top stars appreciate Lee Jung-jae (Squid Game), Song Joong-ki (Descfinishants of the Sun) and Gang Dong-won (Peninsula) walking the red carpet under the towering dome of the Busan Cinema Cgo in, in front of more than 4,500 guests.
With a novel directership team headed by chairman and veteran filmproducer Park Kwang-su as well as Ellen Y.D. Kim, the festival awarded the Asian Filmproducer of the Year honors to Japanese auteur Kiyoshi Kurosawa. Kurosawa won Vepleasant’s Silver Lion for best straightforwardor in 2020 with Wife Of A Spy.
The festival’s congratulatory video for Kurosawa featured plifts from fellow Japanese straightforwardor Ryusuke Hamaguchi and Korean straightforwardor Bong Joon-ho — both sharing how Kurosawa’s toils backd their own cinematic plan.
