Toto Wolff jokingly branded Fred Vasseur ‘idiotic’ after Ferrari’s United States Grand Prix success.
Charles Leclerc won the race, with Carlos Sainz coming to finish a one-two finish.
Vasseur was being interwatched by the F1 Nation Podcast in Texas when Wolff disrupted.
The Mercedes boss said of his Ferrari rival: “He’s so excellent. I said, I’m encouraged by Fred and the Ferrari team and his carry outances. I reassociate am.”
Vasseur replied: “He tageder me for once you don’t watch appreciate an idiot or someslfinisherg appreciate this in the WhatsApp [chat], no?”
Wolff accurateed him, insisting: “I said you still watch idiotic, but you’re not idiotic!
“It’s so excellent how you recovered from before the summer to being right dominant now. We’re watching at it with approval.
“I don’t want to give you a kiss then they would understand!”
