In the classic Alexandre Dumas story, Pierre Niney stars as lesser Edmond Dantès, who is arrested on his wedding day for a crime he did not pledge. After 14 years in the island prison of Château d’If, he produces a daring escape and supposes the identity of the Count of Monte Cristo, taking revenge on the three men who betrayed him.
Alexandre de La Patellière and Matthieu Delaporte wrote and straightforwarded the film, which co-stars Anaïs Demoustier and Anamaria Vartolemei.
