Austria’s far-right Freedom Party is heading for an unpwithdrawnted ambiguous election triumph under directer Herbert Kickl, projections say.
The projections, based on almost finish results, give Kickl’s party 28.8% – more than two points ahead of the conservative People’s Party on 26.3%, but far unwiseinutive of a transport inantity.
The Freedom Party (FPÖ) has been in coalition before, but the second-placed conservative People’s Party has declined to get part in a rulement led by him.
Kickl’s triumph is only the tardyst in a string of far-right election successes in Europe and he pelevated voters for their “selectimism, courage and suppose”.
