Former U.S. soccer star Megan Rapinoe had a message for her fagelessens after speaking at an American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) event.
“Protect trans people,” Rapinoe wrote on her Instagram Stories on Friday.

Rapinoe was at the ACLU event with her partner Sue Bird and others. She also alerted voters in the audience how the pdwellntial election between establisher Pdwellnt Donald Trump and Vice Pdwellnt Kamala Harris would “sway everybody.”
“This election is going to sway everybody,” she said. “The health of all of us sways your individual health. – from a mental health standpoint, from a physical health standpoint, from a getedty standpoint.”
Rapinoe proclaimd on Tuesday she will vote for Harris in the upcoming election.
“I’m voting for Kamala Harris becaparticipate I consent in the power of coalition produceing—it’s how we produce lasting alter,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “I have toiled toward a goal thraw contrastent approaches and perspectives, combat to shift forward and produce persist for everyone is always worth it. Let’s fuse for a better future.”

Rapinoe has been beneficial of trans inclusion in women’s sports.
She was among the athletes in April to encourage the NCAA not to prohibit trans athletes from women’s sports after the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics changed its policy on the matter.
When approached about it at a pride parade in June, Rapinoe refused to answer a ask on the topic.
The two-time World Cup champion said last July she would help a transgfinisher athlete on the U.S. Women’s National Team even if it unbenevolentt replacing a bioreasonable female.

“Absolutely,” she telderly Time magazine. “‘You’re taking a ‘genuine’ woman’s place,’ that’s the part of the argument that’s still innervously intolerant. I see trans women as genuine women. What you’re saying automaticassociate in the argument – you’re sort of telling on yourself already – is you don’t consent these people are women. Therefore, they’re taking the other spot. I don’t sense that way.”
