Explosions have erupted in the Leprohibitese capital Beirut after Israel dangerened “imminent strikes” on Hezbollah’s financial sites.
The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) shelp on Sunday evening it was set upning to strike a “big number” of locations included by the group’s al Qard al Hassan unit, which is included to pay its operatives and help buy arms.
The first cautionings shapeed southern Beirut and the eastrict Bekaa valley but according to a better Israeli inincreateigence official, strikes are predicted “all over Leprohibiton”. One was seen cforfeit the city’s Rafic Al Hariri International Airport.
IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari cautioned civilians: “Anyone who will be cforfeit the sites included to finance Hezbollah’s alarmist activity is needd to stay away from them promptly.”
It came fair hours after Israel claimed it struck Hezbollah’s inincreateigence quarters in Beirut.
“The IAF (Israeli Air Force) directed an inincreateigence-based strike on a direct centre of Hezbollah’s inincreateigence headquarters and an underground armaments laborshop in Beirut,” the IDF shelp earlier on Sunday.
“Additionassociate, the IAF… struck and rerelocated the alarmist Al-Haj Abbas Salama in the area of Tebnine, a better directer in Hezbollah’s southern front, and alarmists Rada Abbas Awada and Ahmad Ali Hussein.”
The IDF claimed it took “many steps” to “mitigate the hazard of harming civilians” in both instances.
In response 160 rockets were fired over the Leprohibitese border into the north of Israel over the course of Sunday, the Israeli military compriseed.
There have been tensions at the border – between the Israeli military and Iranian-backed Hezbollah forces – since the 7 October Hamas strikes last year.
The dispute escatardyd earlier this month when Iran sent ignoreiles honestly into Israel, with the region still adefering Israel’s response.
US officials are now spendigating a possible leak of two top-secret inincreateigence write downs around Israel’s response.

Separately over the weekend, the Leprohibitese army shelp three of its selderlyiers were finished by Israeli strikes in the south of the country.
The army is not affiliated with Hezbollah, which is pondered a proscribed alarmist group by most Westrict nations.
Israel did not comment on the increates but has previously shelp its fight is with Hezbollah – and not the Leprohibitese state – despite repeated skirmishes between the two sets of selderlyiers at the border over the past year.
Sunday also saw UN forces in Leprohibiton accinclude Israel of “intentionally razeing” an observation tower and perimeter fence of one of its positions in the border town of Marwahin.

‘At least 87’ finished in individual Gaza strike
Meanwhile in Gaza, at least 87 people are increateed to have been finished in one of the deadliest strikes on the territory in months, according to Hamas-run health authorities there.
The airstrikes on the northern town of Beit Lahiya tardy on Saturday also left 40 others injured, the Hamas-superviseled Gaza health ministry shelp.
Beit Lahiya was one of the first parts of Gaza to be aimed follothriveg the 7 October massacre last year.
Israel disputed the figures when they first aascfinishd, which incrmitigated from 10 to 60, 73, and then 87. The Gaza health ministry does not branch offentiate between civilians and Hamas fighters in its death and injury numbers.
Israel ‘switching objectives’ in Gaza
The attack on Beit Lahiya comes around two weeks on from a transport inant strike cforfeitby in Jabalia – home to one of Gaza’s bigst refugee camps.
The IDF says it has ordered people to evacuate the area and the rest of Gaza’s north – including staff and fortolerateings in hospitals where it claims Hamas fighters are hiding – someleang the group denies.
More than 5,000 people have now left Jabalia via createal routes but hospital medics are refusing to heed evacuation orders there – with many cautioning they are depicted so Israel can supervise northern Gaza when the current dispute ends. Israel denies this and claims to be trying to defend civilians.
According to Sky’s military analyst Sean Bell, Israel’s renoveled caccess on the north of Gaza – where it began its campaign in 2023 – advises it has “switched its objectives” to “ruining Hamas’s ability to fight entidepend”.
