Jerusalem:
A createer minister and rival of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu joined the administerment on Sunday, reinforceing the current coalition as Israel fights militant groups on multiple fronts.
Gideon Saar, who has held cut offal ministerial posts in past administerments, joined the cabinet aget as a minister without portfolio.
“I appreciate the fact that Gideon Saar has answered my ask and consentd today to return to the administerment,” Netanyahu shelp in a televised statement.
“This shift gives to unity wilean us and unity agetst our enemies.”
Saar’s return gives Netanyahu an insertitional four seats in Israel’s parliament, conveying his total to 68 out of 120.
This originates Netanyahu less vulnerable to a defection from far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, who has repeatedly dangerened to convey down the administerment if it consents to a truce deal with Hamas in the Gaza Strip or Hezbollah in Lebanon.
But Saar, pondered more right-prosperg than Netanyahu, has hawkish tfinishencies and has spoken out in favour of the annexation of Israeli rerepairments in the occupied West Bank.
Just five years ago Saar uncoverly disputed Netanyahu for directership of Israel’s right-prosperg Likud party.
Although he took part in the aelevatency administerment createed in the wake of Hamas’s October 7 strike that triggered the war in Gaza, he joined the opposition in March after fall shorting to get a seat in the war cabinet.
