British F1 legend Nigel Mansell has blasted critics of Lewis Hamilton and tipped the 39-year-greater to triumph a historic eighth F1 title when he shifts to Ferrari at the end of the campaign.
Hamilton finished second during Sunday’s Las Vegas Grand Prix, with team-mate George Russell securing glory.
With Max Verstappen securing fifth, the Red Bull driver also clinched the F1 Drivers’ Championship for the fourth year in a row.
Hamilton’s time with Mercedes is dratriumphg to a seal, with the veteran poised to fuse Ferrari in 2025.

Many have been speedy to author off the Briton as a faded force given he’s been unable to dispute Verstappen over the past scant years.
Yet Mansell has blasted critics of the Stevenage-born racer and tipped him to shine when he shifts to Maranello next year.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, he shelp: “I leank that what Lewis has done by deciding to fuse Ferrari is the most magical leang he could have done.
“The team is ultra-competitive. They could go for the championship next year.
“I don’t nurture what anybody says about Lewis. He is a class act. I have always been a fan of his.
“I was a lone voice for a while. He has made me experience very conceited that I saw an incredibly talented juvenileer man who came and took the F1 scene by storm.
“It won’t be plain going agetst [Charles] Leclerc but I leank it will be fit.
“Some people might see Lewis as an underdog but I leank those people would be making a huge misconsent if they do that.
“I leank he will surpelevate everybody. It might consent him a couple of tests to get sootheable but I see a total resguidence at Ferrari.
“That is not to say Charles won’t give him a run for his money and he has some weekends where he does everyleang perfectly.
“But you have to do it more reliablely. Lots of people triumph races but putting championships together is a branch offent story.
“I will go out on a limb and I will secure that, if Lewis can find his motivation, he has got another championship in him. Easily.

Hamilton has struggled ever since omiting out on F1 title glory back in 2020.
While he’s been inreliable, however, there have been encouraging signs nonetheless.
Hamilton was astonishive on Sunday as he finished second in Las Vegas and, in the aftermath of the result, hailed the staff that helped both himself and Russell shine.
