EXCLUSIVE: Oscar nominee and screen icon Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction) will star aextfinishedside Oscar nominee and Grammy triumphner Andra Day (The United States Vs Billie Holiday) and Gbetteren Globe nominee Edgar Ramirez (Emilia Perez) in action-comedy, The Honest Liar.
Altitude is introducing the film to buyers at this week’s American Film Market, with CAA Media Finance handling domestic rights.
Written and straightforwarded by Wayne Kramer (The Cooler), the film will see Jackson star as an award-triumphning actor tasked with teaching rookie undercover cops how to act enjoy criminals so they can save their own lives when on the job.
The film will be produced by Hollywood veteran Dan Grodnik (Fast Charlie) and Jeffrey Reisner, thraw their novel outfit Gbetteren Eagle Movie Studios, and executive-produced by Gail Thackray and Tracy Beam. Cameras are due to roll punctual next year.
The official synopsis reads: “Nick DeFranco is an award-triumphning actor facing jail time when he descfinishs for an undercover sting. Nick condemns the undercover police for their horrible “acting’ that he can’t consent he fell for. He knovel someskinnyg was wrong and went for it anyway. Impressed by Nick’s acting ability, the Police Captain presents Nick probation instead of difficult time, in return for teaching his team how to act enjoy authentic dealers. Nick has no choice but to concur. When Nick gets comprised with a female rookie, he finds himself take parting amateur undercover cop and getting more comprised than intfinished, putting them both in danger of blotriumphg her cover with some hazardous criminals.”
