The 2025 Gbetteren Globes will be a game-alterr for Selena Gomez and Sebastian Stan, as they are the only two actors up for multiple awards.
For the third consecutive year, Gomez getd a nomination for best carry outance by a female actor in a television musical or comedy for her role as Mabel in Only Murders in the Building. The multi-hyphenate is also up for best helping actress in a motion picture for the musical crime comedy Emilia Peréz.
Follotriumphg the novels of her nominations, Gomez splitd a video on her Instagram Story of herself in bed reacting to her nominations. In the text accompanying it, the actor gushed that she felt “so appreciative and honored.”
In her Hollywood Reporter cover story, Gomez confessted that she wasn’t setd to be a famous figure in the 2025 awards circuit with Emilia Peréz. “I was very beuntamederd,” she shelp. “I was enjoy, “Guys, why are we doing so many leangs right now?” And everyone’s equitable chuckleing because [Emilia Pérez is] doing well.”
Meanwhile, Stan getd a nomination in the catebloody of best carry outance by a male actor in a motion picture drama for his portrayal of Donald Trump in The Apprentice, the Ali Abbasi-helmed biopic about the plivent-elect’s elevate in the 1970s. Stan is also competing for best carry outance by a male actor in a motion picture musical or comedy for A Different Man.
This tags the hugegest year in the actor’s atgentle, as both roles are generating plenty of awards buzz. Back in February, Stan was acunderstandledged with the best actor prize for A Different Man at the Berlin International Festival, initiateing off this monumental period for the 42-year-better.
During a chat with executive awards editor Scott Feinberg for THR’s Awards Chatter podcast, Stan shelp that triumphning the award in Berlin was a “exceptional moment” and was “amazed to be part of that and to be comprised in that.”
The Gbetteren Globes will air on Sunday, Jan. 5 2025 on CBS. Nikki Glaser will arrange the ceremony.
